Find more information about NASA's rover descent into Mars here!
I note a lot of detailed annotations in these Year 7 (Ages 11 -12 ) inventions. The posters are perfect for scanning and implementing in the ePortfolio.
Students are being prepared for a Mars simulation to control robots from a remote location. Time lapses will be built into the simulation which is dependent on Mars' location in orbit. STEAM teams will take on the role of engineers and working against 15 other teams, have to maneuver Thymios into different locations in order to accomplish a set of tasks. Students will view their remotely-located rovers and communicate with other teams through YouTube.

Using water to trap dust
Students are building a biosphere out of recycled plastic bottles.
They've staked out the land and are creating the structure in Travaux Practique.
Meanwhile we are all recycling bottles and installing a weather station to measure and analyse UV rays, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction and atmospheric pressure inside and outside the biosphere.
